Grabbing videos from NND and YT
Firstly, ffmpeg can split anything. I'll post about it later.
This note will cover tools for win os, nixfags - see above.
Most of original Vocaloid videos and music are on NicoNicoDouga streamer. Any vid can be downloaded with FireFox + NicoFox. The bonus of that wondrous plugin is that it will wait until high-quality version is available - in case NND is horrifying you with its "economy mode". What can be found in NND vids:

- mp4: can be splitted with mp4box + yamb. Yamb is buggy - needs "back" after extracting: if you close it right after, it'll spam alert windows until its process is terminated from task manager.
- flv: flvextract
- swf: i'll rant a wall'o'text about that later. Shortly, use swfextract from swftools. It's a kit for swf -> pdf, swfextract is one of its command-line tools: cmd to downloaded swf and "swfextract -m vid.swf"
